Legacy of Love

This past few weeks I have been trying to figure out what it is that I contribute to society. Yesterday, while filming a project the question was on loop in my mind. Somewhere in the day, I figured out that what I contribute is what I want my legacy to be. LOVE! I do that by being as caring as I can be. Open to hearing and seeing people who may not feel valued and just increase their self-worth. I know there are some areas in my life that I need to work a little harder on making sure people receive those loving and caring feelings from me. If I don’t contribute anything of physical or tangible value, I hope that people can feel different after an encounter with me.

The quote that came to my mind while writing is by Maya Angelou: I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. I hope that people I have come into contact with have felt like I treated them with respect in a loving way.

 

Challenge of the Day: Evaluate and question what you are contributing to society. Is that what you want your legacy to be?
