Sharing My Truth

On my travels back home from school tonight, I saw a post of someone I look up to on my Instagram and he shared how he went back home and shared more of his personal truth with his family. As I was getting off the metro “One Sweet Day” by Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey came on. I had to listen to it twice, but it dawned on me that there have been some people in my life, that are no longer with me who I wish now I had shared more of me and my truth with them before it would be too late. I recently made an attempt to share some of my truth with my mother. I am waiting patiently for her response, but at least I know I have done my part to inform her. What she chooses to do with that information is up to her.
