Transitioning into the Grind

It is never good to anxiously wait for something major to happen in life. The reason is the wait can be longer than you expected. However, if I have learned nothing in the past few years, I know that good and even great things come to people who wait. A lot of people have come to this mentality that you have to grind, grind, and grind 24/7. I have learned that I have grinding seasons, waiting seasons, and maintaining seasons.

Right now I am transitioning from a waiting season to a grinding season. It feels like my seasons are about to start synching up with the four seasons of the year. I guess that means there is a reaping the harvest season as well. Over the past couple of days I have re-read all my journal entries that go back to August 2017. It was extremely interesting to see some of the things I have shared and more so a lot of the things I have not shared.  I am not sure when, but I will reflect on my experiences I have faced in my journey navigating a new city and a ton of new experiences.

The initial purpose of this journal and blogging experience was to share the ups and downs of my experience. There have been times when I get nervous and a little fearful of sharing my truth from my lens. Even if I don’t name people or institutions, they could be figured out rather easily. It is not like I am writing my blog posts from an anonymous perspective. At the end of the day, this is my experience, shared from my perspective. There is never any ill will or intent directed at anyone.
